About The Bahamas Teacher Cadet Programme
For the past twenty seven years, the Ministry of Education, through the Future Teachers of The Bahamas Programme, has inspired more than 400 Bahamian teachers in private and public schools today to pursue a career in teaching.
Since 1995, the programme has recruited interested students in grades 10, 11 and 12 in senior high schools in The Bahamas. The programme attracts students who have a decided passion for teaching, students who would like to explore teaching so that they can make an informed career choice, and students who are mildly interested in the various aspects of teaching and learning.
Many cadets join the programme as a means of enhancing their academic acumen so that they are more prepared for university studies.
From dynamic meetings and engaging presentations to exciting conferences and friendly competition, membership in the Bahamas Teacher Cadets Programme is sure to provide an inspiring experience for every interested student.
